For Meryl Prynne

It is with great sadness that the Town Council have learned of the passing away of Meryl Prynne: Meryl dedicated more than 13 years to the Town Council, tirelessly working to make the Community she loved a better place for all. Not only was she a Councillor but also Mayoress four times. She was a formidable & positive force within the Council and will be greatly missed by all.

She didn’t only give her time to the Town Council, as she worked hard in other aspects of the Community, for example working for the Samaritans either on the phone or in the shop. She also worked for the hospital League of Friends. Meryl was a straight-talking no-nonsense lady; her pure dedication was second to none. Our thoughts and prayers go to her family Tony, Samantha, Christian and her sister Cheryl who nursed her throughout this traumatic time.

Meryl’s funeral is on the 13th of August prior to the journey to the Crematorium there will be a drive through the town at 9.15 if any of you would like to pay your last respects.
